After signing to Hospital Records last year, fans have been eagerly anticipating Kings of the Rollers debut album. Consisting of front line drum & bass DJ's Serum, Bladerunner and Voltage, the deadly trio have fused their individual production styles to create the beast that is, ‘You got me’. Layering fuzzy synths and steamrolling amen breaks, the track is fuelled by a thundering bassline that is keen to get any speaker shaking. This heavyweight track provides an exciting taster for what to expect from the three king’s self-titled debut album, set to release later this year.

With just a month to go before the release of her self-titled debut album, Jade Bird has shared her second single, ‘My Motto’. Here we see Bird at her most vulnerable, demonstrated in a heart-felt piano ballad that explores the problems that stem from toxic relationships. Found in the lyrics: “don’t let him near enough to let me down, all his love ever does is break me now”, she discusses the heart breaking cycle of trying to fix a relationship, and the realisation that sometimes you need to let go if you are to save yourself. Best-loved for her authentic, raw sound, Jade Bird’s music is the sound of a woman in full control. With her debut album set for release on April 19th, Jade Bird is sure to spread her wings in 2019.

UK-based producer and instrumentalist SG Lewis is back with his second collaboration with singer-songwriter Clairo – this time, with a silky, electro-pop track called ‘Throwaway’. Layering soft synths and bouncy drum beats, the production is playful and provides an elegant bedroom-pop backdrop. Its Clairo’s vocals however that take centre stage, delivered in a lullaby melody that evokes feelings of melancholy as she discusses the innocence of love: “and I'm falling so hard for you, would you be there to catch me, too?” ‘Throwaway’ provides the first look at Lewis’ latest project ‘Dawn’, the hotly anticipated final edition to his 3 piece EP. Dusk, Dark and Dawn intend to complement one another – each contributing to an overall ‘piece’, so if you’re a fan of SG Lewis, be sure to keep updated.

Gus Dapperton has shared ‘Fill Me Up Anthem’, the third single from his debut album titled 'Where Polly People Go to Read’ set to release on April 19th. As its title suggests, the track is brimming with synth-pop potency, infusing an R&B sleekness comprised in its drum and bass grooves. Vocally, Dapperton channels the track’s full energy, delivering playful lyrics such as: “cause my hoe brings home the bacon, she bites with strife”.
